You and your desire for connection and balance is worthwhile.

Being human can be really hard. In therapy, we can co-create an atmosphere that is receptive, safe for you to share, facilitates growth and helps you make sense of what currently doesn’t.

Areas of exploration can include (but are not limited to): tools for emotional regulation, stabilization and recovery. How unmet expectations you have of yourself, of others, or from others may be impacting you. How to effectively work with guilt, grief and shame. How to acknowledge the voice of your inner critic. How to manage work related stress and how to maintain healthy relationships through connection to self and community care.

Investing your time, energy and money into your health and wellness is a big decision. My hope is that you will experience good rapport with your therapist, tailored interventions that fit and a clear plan to achieve your goals. You and your desire for connection and balance is worthwhile.

I have been practicing as a Registered Social Worker since 2015 and have over a decade of professional experience assisting individuals navigate challenge. I am committed to infusing evidenced- based practice with the strengths I bring to the table.

Now accepting clients in her own private practice while continuing to share space and collaborate with WTC!

Hello, my name is Sobiyah Saeed. I am a psychotherapist and professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I provide individual counselling services to adults 18+. My practice focuses on anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, emotional regulation, stress, cultural issues, women’s issues, and life changes/transitions.

I believe there is a certain comfort in knowing that beauty and light can be found in the darkest moments. Even in darkness, positivity can grow. My goal is to help guide my clients through the ups and downs of life, helping them adjust their eyes to the lightness or darkness they may find themselves in.

Finding the appropriate modality of therapy for my clients is extremely important. Some modalities of interest to me are Cognitive-Behavioural Theory, Mindfulness-Based therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Art Therapy, and Culturally Sensitive Therapy. I ensure I tailor these modalities to my clients’ specific culture, religion, background, and/or life experience.

If you would like to book an appointment with me or have any questions to see if we would be a good therapeutic fit, feel free to reach out. Looking forward to connecting with you!

Sidney Sinclair (she/her), Counselling Psychology Masters Candidate from Yorkville University

Sidney is completing her practicum placement under the supervision of Lana Hastings MSW., RSW. *Sliding Scale options available starting at $70 per 50-minute session with options to go lower upon the sliding scale application form.

Hey there, I’m Sidney!

I’m currently completing my master’s degree in counselling psychology from Yorkville University. I have the privilege of working with and learning from the talented folks at Wellness Through Connection as a practicum student.

I was born on Treaty 5 territory in The Pas Manitoba on an air ambulance! Since, I have spent time in Saskatchewan (Treaty 4), and southern Manitoba (Treaty 1). My mom comes from a fairly Mennonite background while my dad is a mix of Métis and Black, making me a combination of all of the above! Growing up, I lived in predominantly white communities for most of my life, so I was definitely always ‘different’. Now, the communities I grew up in have diversified immensely and are now home for many different cultural groups.

I approach therapy through a trauma- informed lens, prioritizing connection and community. I integrate various therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), person-centred therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.

I have a particular interest in anxiety, depression, life transitions, and stress management.

Outside of work, you can find me reading, finding a new breakfast/coffee spot, or hanging with my pup, Scottie.

I’m so excited to connect with individuals who are ready to begin their journey of growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Feel free to reach out for services!
